Dr. David Allensen D.C, B.Sc (Hons.)


Dr. Allensen graduated from the University of Waterloo with an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2004. Dr. Allensen has also completed and maintains full body certification in Active Release Techniques® (A.R.T. ®) where he uses this therapy to effectively treat soft tissue injuries.


Dr. Allensen works closely with a diverse patient base to promote optimum health and wellness. His chiropractic treatments use a combination of manual adjustments (spinal and extremity), Active Release Techniques®, Cox flexion-distraction technique, modalities, exercise therapy and nutrition.

Greg Heikoop P.T., D.P.T

Greg has been working at Absolute Rehab Centre since 2007.  After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario in 2003 he followed his passion by living in Whistler to experience the West Coast.  Following this experience he started his Master's of Physical Therapy at D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY graduating in May 2006.  More recently Greg has completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Greg maintains his position as Physiotherapist and Clinic Director at Absolute Rehab Centre.  His focus is with orthopaedic patients in various populations, where one to one manual therapy and patient-centered care are his number one goals.  Greg is also very passionate about Differential Diagnosis and strives to provide the highest level of assessment.  Educating his patients not only on the current injury while creating an unstanding of how to avoid future injury remains his primary model of care.  Continuing education is very important to Greg where he has complete post-graduate training in vestibular rehabilitation and acupuncture.

Kaleena Yeung P.T., B.Sc., M.Sc.P.T

Kaleena joined Absolute Rehab Centre in 2008 after completing her Masters in Physiotherapy at Queens University. Before Queens, Kaleena attended University Of Waterloo and graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology with the Health Professions option. Kaleena has completed her Kinesio Taping training and continues to work towards her full certification.  Kaleena works together with her patients to establish a comfortable working relationship in which to achieve rehabilitation goals. In addition to her passion for helping others, Kaleena is an avid sports fan and enjoys hockey and soccer.

Priska Moser P.T., F.H.P.T


Priska joined the Absolute Rehab Team in 2010. Completing a Bachelor of Arts at U of T, she proceeded to obtain a Masters of Physiotherapy in Switzerland in 2005. After working in multiple Rehab clinics in Switzerland she returned to write the accreditation exams in Canada.

Having experienced the positive effects of core strengthening with her clients in Switzerland she completed the Pilates Instructor training during the time she was writing the exams. Priska is convinced of the benefits of combining manual therapy and individualized core strengthening/exercise therapy. She is dedicated to educating the patients about lifestyle changes that will maintain or improve their condition after therapy is complete. Enjoying sports herself, Priska also likes the challenge of creating exercise programs that cater to the patient's preferred activity.

Ken Roche RMT


Ken has been with Absolute Rehab Centre for 4 years and has been practicing Massage Therapy for 13 years. Ken is visually impaired and specializes in massage for both the disabled and able bodied athletes and has a wide variety of experiences with patients with different physical disabilities. In addition to his work at Absolute Rehab Centre, Ken is an active downhill ski racer, martial artist and entrepreneur. Ken enjoys any outdoor activity and has recently undertaken the task of renovating his home. In order to provide his clients with the most appropriate care possible Ken works late most evenings.

Valerie Bieth RMT

Val is one of four registered massage therapists at Absolute Rehab Centre. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage Therapy in 2002 and has been practicing for 7 years. She joined Absolute when it opened in 2005 and has been an integral part of our multidisciplinary team ever since. Val specializes in Swedish massage as well as reflexology, a technique which she is currently working towards certification in. Val also takes yearly business and anatomy courses in order to keep up with the required mandate of 30 education credits over 3 years of continuing education and teaches ballet and at a local dance studio. Val and her treatments are a fundamental part of Absolute and she looks forward to treating you.

Marielle Baer RMT, B.HSc.


Marielle is a recent hire to Absolute Rehab Centre, having started here 8 months ago after completing her training at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Before that Marielle also completed a Bachelors of Science degree at University of Waterloo and a Health Science degree at McMaster in Midwifery. Marielle specializes in Swedish and pregnancy massage and must complete the required 30 Continuing Education credits every two years to remain registered. In her spare time Marielle enjoys gardening and a wide range of outdoor sports.

Andrea Hamel RMT


Andrea graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Medix School in Kitchener with honors in 2010 and is a member of the CMTO. Andrea was born in England and grew up in British Columbia where she instilled a love of the outdoors and sports. Her passion for Massage Therapy has grown from her own experiences with extreme sports such as snowboarding, skateboarding and mountain biking. It was within these sports where she could view the benefits and results of alternative therapies such as Massage Therapy helping to achieve the health and wellness of not only athletes but anyone going through physical rehabilitation. Andrea now resides in Kitchener Ontario and is planning in the future on continuing her education with Acupuncture and Hot Stone Therapy courses. In her spare time she enjoys playing guitar, bicycling with her labradoodle named Waldo and gardening.

Amy has been with Absolute Rehab Centre for 5 years. Amy attended Medix where she graduated in 2006 with Honours from the Medical Office Assistant Program. Amy is the proud mother of four. Amy is an essential member of our team and looks forward to helping you with any questions or concerns you may have when visiting or calling the clinic.

Crystal has recently joined the Absolute Rehab team as our full time Administrative Assistant. She is a graduate of the Health Office Administration program at Conestoga College and has over seven years experience in the customer service field. Crystal enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, and would love to start travelling and seeing the world. She is very excited to be a part of the Absolute Rehab team and looks forward to meeting and getting to know you!

Danielle also known as "Dani" was born in England and moved to Canada with her family in 1991. She moved around a lot due to her father being in the Military, but didn't mind because she loves to travel.  She has visited over 100 cities all over the world, and hopes to add to that list.

 

She graduated top of her class at Herzing College in 2006 and before she joined us here at Absolute Rehab Centre, she ran a busy Chiropractic Centre for 3 years in Manitoba. She has two children, one boy and one girl, and an Irish Wolfhound Puppy.  Please introduce yourself because she loves people!
